Frosty's Head was Blown Off

Frosty Fan
I'm a fan of Frosty the Snowman and have always been a fan. Frosty was my favorite Christmas cartoon and I still enjoy the cartoon, some 30 years later. I grew up in California where there was never any snow. It does snow in Arkansas though and my grandparents moved there from California.
Trip to Arkansas
One year my parents decided to take a trip to Arkansas to visit my grandparents. We drove all the way there and I don't remember much about the drive, other than driving though the desert and places called Bakersfield and Needles.
Snow! Building Frosty
While we were visiting my grandparents in Arkansas, it snowed about 5 inches. I had never seen snow and was totally excited. I figured out how to make a snowman and made one that looked just like Frosty, complete with a hat and corn cob pipe. I had to use a carrot for his nose though and I used two grapes for his eyes. I even put a scarf around his neck. I spent all day creating Frosty and was very proud of my creation.
Frosty's Decapitation
The next day I got up early in the morning and went to play with Frosty. When I saw Frosty, I was immediately scared. His head was missing. I asked my grandparents what happened to Frosty and my grandpa explained that someone shot Frosty with a shotgun and blew his head off. I asked him why and he said "I guess they don't like Frosty in Arkansas". I didn't have the nerve to rebuild Frosty. I just went around with teary eyes and collected his eyes, nose, pipe, hat, and scarf.

LOL maybe it's about time to confront grandpa about the whole thing - you need closure. And if he really thought it was "too gay" - it might be the scarf that ticked him off! Of course now I jest. Anyway, thanks again for sharing this :D
That's the funniest Damn thing I've read all day. I'm sorry about the trauma of it all but the caption under the picture of "Frosty after his head was blown off" is rotflmao funny. Nice job! thanks for the laugh!
Kea - that's so sad! How old were you? Maybe someone thought it a joke?
Poor Frosty. Poor youngling Kea!
"You've found Composite Santa's only weakness! A tempature above 32 degrees!!" ;)

That's some unforgettable experience - specially for a child. I'm glad it didn't in any way affected your fascination with Frosty, But did you find out if Frosty was really shotgunned?
