In this article I review redgage.com. RedGage is a social networking / bookmarking site that provides backlinks and revenue generating possibilities. RedGage has a Google Page Rank of 4. I joined RedGage two weeks ago and have had a decent experience so far.
Cool Video Describing RedGage
RedGage Review
- Content- the cool thing about RedGage is you can upload numerous types of content (blogs, photos, videos, documents, links). I've put several links to my HubPage articles on RedGage and I've also uploaded several pictures.
- Money- with RedGage, they pay you primarily based on your content popularity. I've made $4.30 in two weeks on RedGage. This is much better than I did on HubPages in two weeks. I made $4.00 for a picture I took while on vacation in New Zealand. I simply posted this picture and it became a "Feature" and I got a $4 bonus for that. Here's the link to the picture, if you're interested: Milford Track Picture. Also, RedGage has a unique way of paying you by giving you a Visa card. Here's an excerpt from their site on this: "When you reach $25.00 in your available balance, you can withdraw your funds. You may also choose to let your earnings accumulate and withdraw funds in increments of $25.00 ($50, $75, etc). When you are ready to withdraw your money, RedGage will ask you for your contact information and send you a RedGage Visa Card."
- Interface- RedGage's interface takes a little getting used to...it's not as intuitive as I'd like, but I have it figured out now.
- Imports- RedGage allows you to import content from other sites, such as Twitter, Youtube, Blogger, etc. The import feature doesn't seem to work all the time. For instance, I have content on Blogger.com, but the "Last Update" on RedGage shows "Never," even though my RedGage account is linked to Blogger. I haven't thoroughly troubleshot this yet, but it's not as simple as it should be in my opinion.
- Friendliness - I mention friendliness because I think it's important. HubPages is one of the most friendly sites I've joined, but RedGage is even friendlier. The members are very nice and willing to help each other. For example, I have 29 friends on RedGage now and that's just been after two weeks. I haven't been actively trying to "friend" people either. I've joined other sites like Digg and Squidoo and I never really felt "part of the crowd" on those sites. On RedGage I feel like I'm a valued member of the site.
Summary
Other than HubPages, I've had the friendliest experience and quickest monetary success with RedGage. I'm also on Xomba and She Told Me. I think both these sites are great too, but RedGage is unique. If you're interested in joining RedGage, click HERE. RedGage has several main benefits - backlinks to your HubPage content, revenue opportunities, and a friendly atmosphere!
Mar 17, 2010 Update
I just got up this morning and logged on to RedGage. My earnings are now $33.30! I was a little shocked at first and thought it might have been a mistake. This is based on 34 content uploads and only being a member 2 weeks! That's pretty cool. It took me 10 months to make that much money on HubPages. I'm not just in it for the money, but it is nice to be rewarded for your content!

Thank you for your kindness to help. I just clicked and they said something about internet 8 and to make it compatible to click on something. I haven't got a clue about computer and dare not in case I upset the setting. What can or shall I do? If you could help I would be so grateful.
Thank you, kea, I am sorry but one more thing after I use it will it click back to what my programm was before automatically or do I to do something afterwards?
I agree with you kea. Uploading doesn´t always function, one needs to be patient, but friendliness covers for it all. I recommend joining RedGage site to everyone!
Hey, Kea...
This is very interesting! I pretty much see what you mean regarding other social sites. I have to check this Red Gage place. However, Xomba, which was the first I joined, hasn´t given me anything, not even friends. I read and commented, but everybody seems too busy on their own stuff! I may leave Xomba very soon.
Great hub, my friend, thanks for sharing! I am sure that joining through your link will benefit you, so there you go! I will link through you!
Thumbs up!
Warmest regards and infinite blessings,
Al
Hi Kea - I've also had a great experience at RedGage.
I got my first $25 payout last week, and my earnings there are higher than what I make here with Adsense so far.
And all I've really done at RG is upload some photos that I took years ago that have been collecting dust on my hard drive ;)
Plus the backlinks certainly don't hurt...
Your are an angel and having the patience of an angel, kea. Thank you so much for your kindness.
I never though this, it seems we can monetized Xomba, Redgadge directly not just to drive traffic.
Thanks for sharing, great hub
Thanks for your sharing. I am a Redgage member too
G'day kea, I've been a member at RedGage for some time now, but I cannot get the import function to work at all. I will look for you there next time I'm on :-)
I'm now your fan here and thumbs up on this Hub, great information and well presented !
Nice information and really help us who want to get another income from internet. Thanks for showing me this info. I'll bookmark this hub. Thank you so much.
As you already know :) I'm also at RedGage, and I agree with you, it's a very friendly place. And it's full of hubbers. I think that once they fix the site they will be a big threat for all others articles' website. It has been wonderful to publish my links and at the end to see that I earned 30 cents just with them. Using Firefox I'm having difficulties both importing and uploading. But it's a great site and I'm sure they will become big players. That's why a lot of hubbers are already there.
Rated and Stumbled. :)
Thank you for the article. I signed up to promote my blog articles and ended up getting a featured picture within hours!! 4 days and averaging out to over a dollar a day so far without even adding all my content.
kea-- i found that as well, that RedGage is very helpful and yes I made more money in it in the week and a bit I've been there than in compraision to hubpages for the same lenght of time.
It seems so easy to get featured! I think the part I like best is still the backlinks part. Most of my older blog posts do not have any visitor at all. Really need service like Redgage to boost visitors and backlinks.
I like it is easy to make money there. Excellent hub kea.
You've convinced me to give this a try! Thank you for the very comprehensive and useful information....and adding your personal experience to it as well. Really helps... :)
I agree about the Import feature on RedGage. It doesn't seem to work.
I am with RedGage too and was even interviewed in the Site in their Blog. RedGage has given me a lot of valuable backlinks.
Thanks for the review. I saw your picture. It is nice.
I earned $5.00 a day in Redgage...RedGage is the best!
Wow. Red Gage sounds like it has great possibilities. I have added signing up to the site to my to do list. Thanks for the information. I love keas by the way. Are you cheeky and attracted to shiny objects too?
I'm a member of RedGage, too, but have had problems getting on to the site in recent weeks. It keeps 404ing out and takes forever to load. I've never even reached $1 yet there after 7 months. But, otherwise, when it's working, I do like it.
I to am a member of RedGage, I spent two weeks doing what hubbers do. I have been trying to login to my RedGage account for the last two weeks and cannot get login to work. I have been using firefox, maybe I will try IE8 and see if it is any better.
I do like it, as far as I know I have as yet not made a dime, but it is easy to use, if and when you can get login to work.
Thanks for the info! I haven't ventured into Redgage yet but it looks like its pretty popular plus I like the idea of good community like we have here at HubPages. You're right, Xomba could use a little more user to user interaction. Their customer service response is great and it is an 'earner', but not enough community support
I have had a good experience on Redgage too. My main question is: Does redgage send out a new visa each time you withdraw the $25? I have been checking my first card and it doesn't say the correct balance.
Thanks for this post. I just recently joined redgage, thanks again.
I just joined and Learning all I can to do well in RedGage. I will find others and add.
