There is no reason to be bored in this world. If you’re bored, it’s because you choose to be bored. Here are some ideas to get your journey away from boredom started.
1. Take up a new hobby.
Not sure what hobby to start or checkout? Take a look at Meetup.com. You are sure to find a group that shares your interest, no matter how obscure!

2. Learn a new language.
There are a number of ways to learn a new language. I like the immersing quality and presentation of Rosetta Stone. It is expensive, but has images, scenarios, and assesses your speaking abilities. I find this method of learning much more effective than the audio-only CDs…

3. Volunteer.
Not sure what or where to volunteer? Check at Volunteer Match. You should be able to find something to fit your interests and schedule.

4. Write and publish your own book.
You can now easily do this via a number of on-line services, including LuLu:

5. Play an on-line game.
This won’t get you out of the house, but will help cure your boredom. I consider World of Warcraft the best on-line game. There is always something new to learn, somewhere new to explore, some new quest to complete, etc.

If you can’t find something to do off of this list to cure your boredom, it’s because you choose to be bored! You need to step outside your comfort zone and do something new! Start today.

Great idea for a hub...you're right that boredom is a choice! It's a much better idea to be productive :) HubPages is also great for curbing boredom.
I agree with you 100%, why we get bored. Just enjoy this life. Doing some activity that cure boring like in this hub. thanks for advice.
